Aklan

 Aklan food specialty dish is the banana trunk’s pith and a famous local dish called Chicken Inuburan or Chicken with banana pith which is widely considered as the best tasting vegetable dish in the province of Aklan.

This tender and sweet white part is what gives the recipe a blissful flavor. The preparation of this dish is actually laborious since you have to cut down a whole banana tree to get the pith.

Binakol

 Aklan chicken dish that is steamed together with its own tasty juice cooked over a flaming charcoal inside a bamboo.

The process of this cooking makes the chicken absorb all aroma of the natural way of cooking and provides a juicy texture and rich taste that lingers on in the mouth for quite a while after the whole eating is done.

Guimaras

Many foreingers who are from other country; specially cold or not in hot weather country, they have a tendency to eat tropical fruits. And Mango is most famous tropical fruit here in the Philippines.
First and foremost, Guimaras best known produce is their sweet mango famous almost worldwide

 

And it comes with it's best partner, ibos.

 Baye-Baye

This brown baye-baye variety is made from toasted rice thus giving it a more disctinct flavour compared to it's more "caucasian" cousin. I like the one wrapped in banana leaves compared with the one in plastic for it gives it a more native feel.

So when you're in Guimaras or if you have to go to Guimaras, be sure to chekc out the markets for these native delicacies that can make your trip more gastronomically satisfying. It will give you big pleasure.

  Antique is very famous because of its Muscovado Industry

The one i will show you guys is that traditional special food of the Philippines.
As i am a korean, we also have those foods but i truely say that Philippines style of this foods

Bandi, called panutsa in Luzon, is made with whole peanuts covered in muscovado sugar.

First of all, if you are looking for quiet shores as natural attraction Antique may be the first place where you have to go.





1. Malalison Island

this island is located in Antique. It is full of sparkling water, cuddle you as a powdery white sand shore. if you like Snorkel i may say that try to be in Batabat Coral Reef and you may see a bunch of fish and aquatic animals.

This place is well known as quiet and calm place where people want to rest and refresh people's heart.
Malalison Island is such a paradise. If you happen to travel around Antique, spend a night in the island and explore its beauty. This island has a lot to offer as what you want. You can hike around the island for an hour to see the lovely view :)






2. Igbaclag Cave


 Igbaclag Cave is the natural attraction of the San Remigio in Antique. As one of the famous cave in Antique, it shows that how beatiful nature is around us!

3. Tibiao River

 

 

Calm and peace, we are always looking for these words in our life. I can bring these words whenever i see good river. And Tibiao River is one of our soothers to give us comfortable mind.

Tibiao, Antique is being billed as the eco-adventure capital of Western Visayas.

we can hike along the murmuring streams of Tuno River and hidden rice terraces to Bugtong Bato Falls. The river is part of the Tibiao River System, and flows from Mt. Madja-as and the Bugtong-bato Falls.

Perhaps you guys already know that the Philippines is the famous of sweet mango. Guimaras Island is the home of the sweetest mango, and also known for its rich marine resources and beautiful beaches.

 

 

 

 

 

4. Ambakan Falls

 

 

Ambakan Falls is located about 3 kilometers from Jordan Wharf. you can be able to ride a tricycle going to the drop off point for Php8 each person when you come in group.

you will be trekking into a muddy and slippery trail by aswsome nature, passing some hanging bridge made of bamboos, and pass through running creeks.

I may say that this place is perfect for adventure, nature tripping, and photo walks. Every years many visitors are coming to this place for picnic and swimming.

 

 

 

 

 

 

5.  Boracay 

 

 

As a most famous place here in the philippines, Boracay is a small islandin the Philippines located approximately 315 km south of Manila and 2 km off the northwest tip of Panay Island in the Western Visayas region (Aklan) of the Philippines.

Not to mention that, tons of people (not only inbound but also outbound) are willing to visit here within their life term!

 

Boracay is specialized of high quality beach which has white powder sand and clear amerald water!

What are 5 things that we have to do in Region 6 :) - Antique, aklan, guimaras

 

Whenever we go to other places for the tour, we would find best things to do. Not to mention that we have to seek best and beautiful memorable placese where we will get big pleasure with new experiences. For the region 6 of the philippines, what will make us much more happier than going to other placese?


I must say that we have to visit Boracay of region 6 which has been considered as specialist spot here in the Philippines. There is even an idiom from foreigners, if Hawai is called as paradise, we may call heaven for the Boracay.



1. Scuba diving

Scuba diving is a form of underwater diving in which a diver uses a self contained underwater breathing apparatuse (scuba) to breathe underwater.
As a new experience here in the Philippines, we must try to do scuba diving where in Boracay which is well known by a trove of corals, underwater tunnels, caves, and other interesting spots.



2. Parasailing

Parasailing also known as parascending or parakiting, is a recreational kiting activity where a person is towed behind a vehicle (usually a boat) while attached to a specially designed canopy wing that reminds one of a parachute, known as a parasail wing.

This is going to be one of good experiences that make us feel flyting over the world. Zoom on a speedboat off Bulabog Beach and then soar high above the island. we will get a fantastic view while we are at it. We must don't forget to bring a camera because the boat staff are usually skilled in taking pictures of overwhelmed flying us.



3. Island Hopping

One of the most popular activities in Region 6 which has many beautiful beaches. We may hire a boat for a half-day tour around the island’s many beaches. Specially when you are in Boracay which is including Puka Beach, Crocodile Beach, and Tambisaan Beach, you will see the much more beautiful views. I am sure it will soothe us from hard and tired life whenever we need a good rest.

4. Cliff Diving

It may also give you new experience if you try it. I ,even myself, had no chance to try this cliff diving(diving from a cliff, sometimes considered an adventure sport).

For the people who like A favorite among the adventurous! Leap off a cliff and make a big splash in the cerulean waters below, it will blow our all hardship in this moment. Normally the highest is from 13 meters. And also there are 3, 5, 7 meters. If you want to exposure ur feeling, why don't you try to jump over from the region 6 :)



5. Food Trip

I know this is for every region, but i don't want to skip this "Food Trip" part as one of my best things to do in region 6.

As we all know we’re probably working our so hard to get that perfect beach body, but prepare to say goodbye to it immediately. Region6 has many good beaches and they are offering many good sea foods. Especially Boracay, as famous place in region 6 has so many restaurants for the tourists. Not only for Boracay, all for the region 6.

Generally speaking make out we live in the world of hatred and greed, but if you come to the Philippines you may be able to see full of love with beautiful tourism spots! As one of the main regions, Western Visayas(region 6), it shows lovely tourism place.

This island  consists of six provinces; Aklan, Antique, Negros Occidental, Capiz, Gurimarasand llolio and 16 cities. Ilolio city is the regional center. Western Visayas is composed of six provinces and the highly urbanized cities of Bacolod and liolio

Antique

 

Entering Antique from Iloilo City

 

The province of Antique is one of the six provinces comprising Western Visayas or Region VI and one of the four provinces in the island of Panay. Antique was one of the three districts of Panay before Spanish colonizer arrived on the islands. The province was known at that time, the local name for the large black ants found on the island. The Spanish chroniclers, influenced by the French, recorded the region’s name as Hantique, which was then read as antique. The locals then pronounced the name into its present name “Antique”

The Province of Antique is an elongated stretch of land occupying the entire western side of the island. It is bounded by the rugged central mountains of Panay, bordering on the provinces of Aklan in the northeast, Capiz on the east, Iloilo in the southeast and the Sulu see on the west.

Aklan

 

Aklan is one of the most visited provinces in the Philippines. It has always been known for its pristine beauty which nature has bestowed upon it and its people.

 

Boracay :)

An amazing province in the Philippines that has painted a definite niche in the word tourist map.Home to Boracay Island, one of the world’s best beaches famous for its sugar fine white sand, azure waters, magnificent coral reefs, and rare sea shells. Aside from the beaches, the fun and excitement of Boracay nightlife maintains its legendary status.

Gurimaras

Gurimaras is a fourth class island provinceof the Philippines located in the Western Visayas regions.

 

Guisi Beach :)

Among the smallest provinces, its capital is Jordan. The island is located in the Panay Gulf, between the islands of Panay and Negros. To the northwest is the province of llolio and to the southeast is Negros oriental.

The province consists primarily of Guimaras Island, and also include Inampulugan, Guiwanon, Panobolon, Natunga, Nadulao, and many minor surrounding islands. Geologists have concluded that the island once formed one landmass with Panay.

Located southwest of Panay, Guimaras is separated from llolio by the llolio strait, a narrow channel which takes about fifteen minutes to cross by pump boat from the Ortiz landing in llolio to Jordan, Gurimaras. Other ferries leave from the Parola wharf in llolio to the municipality of Gurimaras The Parola wharf is used exclusively whenever the water is rough. There also is a roll on/roll off(RORO) ferry that travels around five times a day.
